I had loads of fun being interviewed by Paul from Running Matters Podcast. Lots of chat about ultra running adventures, planning, preparation and getting it wrong.
Mindset, goalsetting and frameworks for success in life.
Running The Track, being part of the Continental Challenge and running across New South Wales in The Hard Way Home.
This is what Paul had to say about it and how it all panned out:
"Like many before him, Jamie Hildage, was drawn to the rich red earth of Australia. He has since been tearing up that red earth with 2 completions of a 530km epic from Alice Springs to Uluru, simply named, 'The Track'. Jamie is a stage racing veteran and is in the middle of completing a a multi-day ultramarathon on 5 different continents from jungle to snow-capped mountains to the desert. Haddy chats to him about the practicalities of stage racing and the gear and nutrition challenges this kind of racing presents. We delve into Jamie's expertise in positive psychology and the mindset across business, family and endurance sport.
We also discuss Jamie's upcoming event - The Hard Way Home - where he'll run 1,100km in 11 days from the NSW/SA border to Bondi Beach to raise money for the Australian Childhood Foundation. We touch base with new podcast partner 'RAIDLIGHT' and chat with Alex about their range of incredible trail kit. Enjoy!"
